At some point everyone has to ask the big questions about life鈥檚 ultimate meaning. At the Millis Institute students are invited to explore their own answers to life鈥檚 big questions in open dialogue with some of the greatest minds of Christian history.
Our degree in theology stream includes small-group Socratic discussion of works that have shaped the Western world; a list of these texts can be found under the Key Texts tab.
All Liberal Arts students complete a minor in theology. Students may complete a major (degree in theology) by taking 8 or more units in theology.
Students undertaking the Oxford Summer Program will complete 2 units as intensives and can chose from the following theology seminars:
- Science and the Christian Tradition
- Faith and Reason in the British Enlightenment
- Intellect and Imagination: the rational religion and theological stories of C.S. Lewis
